Protect Your Computer with Antivirus Software

Do you have antivirus software installed on your computer? Without this protection your computer is at risk of being infected with malware, spyware, and adware, among other computer viruses. If a virus has infected your computer you could lose personal information, files, and funds from your bank account. Ransomware, a malicious form of malware, can encrypt files on your hard drive to extort money in order to unlock or reclaim personal data. If the ransom isn’t paid, ransomware may be able to automatically corrupt and delete files leaving you little time to resolve the problem through alternate means.

There are many antivirus software options available to you to help protect your computer against viruses. It is important to research the antivirus software available to decide which one is right for you. While there are some free options available, many antivirus software programs charge a fee and may provide more extensive protection.

Another way to protect yourself is to be sure you have the latest version of your browser and other software updates installed, which may include repairing software vulnerabilities and fixing or removing computer bugs.
